Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Categories 2022

Disney Cruise Line has made some changes to the stateroom categories that will go into effect in 2022. Concierge categories have been modified and other categories have been eliminated, resulting in some staterooms being recategorized. Not all stateroom categories are changing, and the number of staterooms and cabin numbers will remain the same for all ships. For sailings in 2020 and 2021, we will continue to sell the current stateroom categories.

Let's take a closer look at the changes for concierge staterooms. Here are the current categories and plans for decks 11 and 12 on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream:

And here are the new categories that will be in effect starting in 2022:

Besides changing the category names from letter (R, T, and V) to numbers (1A, 2A, 2B and 3A), Disney has added a new category for the Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah. Stateroom 12000, a unique 1-Bedroom suite on the front of the ship that connects to both Royal suites, is now categorized as a 2A, distinct from the rest of the 1 bedrooms.

In 2022, the coveted one bedroom suites (previously category T) with the wall pull down single bed in the living room (8032, 8034, 8532, and 8534) will be recategorized as 2A while the remaining one bedroom suites with the single bed in the master bedroom will be recategorized as 2B.
